“People don’t care about EFT.”

I sat on the other end of the phone, stunned and flabbergasted.  What????

Silence.

I didn’t know what to say.  I LOVED my work as an EFT practitioner.  I was able to help any and every one who came my way and I knew with every fiber of my being that EFT was the magic elixir that helped my clients in their transitions.  I considered myself an EFT crusader.

BUT and this is a BIG BUT, I was starving as a heart based business owner. Clients trickled in one at a time and my business was not only not sustainable, it was draining me in every way. So, when I had that first conversation with Kevin Nations and he firmly but gently knocked me up side the head, I took a deep breath and listened.

“You are on this planet for a reason,” he continued.  “You have a life work to do and you do not have the right to not get it out there.  Your clients need you.” (Then why are you bashing EFT, I thought to myself.)

Kevin spent the better part of an hour asking me the kind of questions that led me to see that while my PASSION was keen, my marketing sucked. Worse than that, my concept of creating a business was way out of whack. I had no plan and because of that, no future.  At a time when I was about ready to give up, I got Kevinized.

When he presented his offer to me, the investment was staggering.  I had a deep knowing, though, that I needed his counsel and thankfully, I answered that call.  Kevin is a no nonsense kind of guy when it comes to pruning away the mindset that creates obstacles for SUCCESS. He taught me how to value and sell my services in a way that has completely revolutionized my career.

It is a year now since I took Kevin’s Big Ticket Blueprint Training.  It hasn’t been an easy year as building a business is WAY DIFFERENT than attracting a client or two a month.  I am now reaping the benefits of his wisdom and guidance and I am profoundly grateful.

And BTW, Kevin wasn’t bashing EFT! Far from it!  He respects and honors all of my tools.  His point was that people are in pain and they don’t care if they have to balance a potato on their head while whistling the theme from M*A*S*H.  All they want is RELIEF.  Help them see that I can bring them that relief and they will hire me….period.  People really don’t care about EFT.  Now I get it!

I had enjoyed my EFT sessions before but this time, when the warm and comforting voice had me repeat this particular statement I loved Brad all the more.
The first time I heard Brad Yates he was talking about Success Beyond Belief with Internet Guru Joe Vitale.  I had never heard of Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT)  before and they were talking about using EFT to attract a new car.  I was fascinated.

I joined his Tapping Into Abundance teleclasses on Monday mornings took the teleclasss and started to tap into abundance with Brad. His calls are filled with gentle humor and his intuitive guidance of the tapping routines is spot on.  He finishes with a rockin’ visualization.  A great way to start the week!

Some wonder how one person can have aprofound experience while being led in EFT in a group setting. The truth is I don’t know how EFT works I do know that it is inspiring to hear other people face their misperceptions and make the quantum leaps Brad ushers in for  and with them.

I learn a Lot from Brad even now. He has a great library of You Tube videos for your viewing pleasure.  His laid back and free form approach has impacted my EFT delivery model profoundly and I am grateful for his mentorship!

On a personal note I worked with Brad one in one for several sessions.  I rarely choose men as coaches and so it is significant that I felt comfortable with him.  Brad Yates is indeed an amazing, gifted EFT master who will help you move forward no matter what is blocking your way!

Tap…Tap….Tap

“Catherine, say this after me.  I want to live.”

“I want to live.”

The phone was silent for a moment.

“Nope, you’re off for that.”

Not the kind of thing a person wants to hear while recovering from a cancer challenge.  “That can’t be right, I DO want to live, with everything that is in me!” I said a bit defensively. That’s what I THOUGHT I thought. It’s time like this that a life coach is very happy she has a coach of her own!

Lovingly and with pin point accuracy, Perenna Fleming led me through a series of “Catherine, say this after me” opportunities.  How I came to love that request.  Even

though she has been in this country for many years (she actually worked as a barmaid in

the bar made famous on TV’s Cheers!) she still speaks like a Brit through and through.

Over and again, statements that I thought were no brainers turned out to be “off.”  After many weeks, I began to know the statement was false while she was saying it.  I no longer needed her to prompt me.  I began to recognize my self defeating thoughts as she brought them to my attention. I began to FEEL the difference between life affirming and self defeating thoughts.

The magic that Perenna does is not easy to describe.  What I can say is that my sessions are always light hearted and fun.  For the depth of the inner work that she brings out for me, her feisty humor sets the tone for quick witted counsel that is easy to accept and absorb.

When you are struggling, your productivity and creativity go in the tank. Motivation slacks off and momentum grinds to a stop.  That’s where I was when I met Perenna.  I worked with her first in a teleclass series called Abundance and Reserves co hosted by Karen Vizer.   I learned alot and loved the teleclass format.

It wasn’t long before I was curious about working with her one on one.  We had good rapport from the start and I know that working on the phone was a key to my comfort. Being alone while talking to Perenna, I could relax and be myself.  Often, doing sessions on the phone is more potent for me than in person sessions.  I tend to open up more about what is going on when on the phone. I find that is true with my clients also.

Once again, at the end of our first meeting, I heard her voice say, ‘Catherine, say this after me. I want to live.”   This time the phone was silent again before I heard her wonderful British accent say , “Good, you’re on for that now.”

Yeah, it is good, very good.
