Good Vibrations

The Universe is full of examples of automatic manifestation.

Let me repeat that:  The Universe is FULL of examples of AUTOMATIC MANIFESTATION.  Let me give you a few examples.

A dandelion seed floating in the wind doesn’t obsess about how it will grow a strong enough root to withstand multi-deweeding attempts.

A grain of sand doesn’t stress about how it will become a matching pearl on a strand on the neck of a lovely woman.

A caterpillar doesn’t worry about how it will fly thousands of miles as a Monarch butterfly.

An acorn doesn’t obsess about how it will tower over everything as an oak tree in the future.

A tadpole doesn’t stress about how it will grow four legs and hop as a frog.

A chick in the nest doesn’t worry about how it will leap from the nest and fly as an eagle.

A puppy doesn’t obsess about how it will lead a blind man across a busy street.

A redwood pine cone doesn’t stress about how a forest fire one day will release it’s seeds into the earth.

A lamb doesn’t worry about how to grow enough wool to make all the sweaters that are to come.

Are you catching my drift? There are so many examples of AUTOMATIC MANIFESTATION around us all the time.  What is on automatic in your life?

If you have automatic thoughts about what you don’t have right now, you need to address that.  Who is the boss of you anyway!  LOL

Now, I don’t mean to make light of your lonely situation.  I know you are frustrated in your search for love but….

Focusing on the perfect way that nature replicates itself and keeps life going is a tremendous source of encouragement.  You are like a seed.  You are holding within your very cells promise beyond your wildest dreams.

As Dr. Wayne Dyer explains, within you is a dynamic force that is pulling you forward to your full expression.  If it is true in nature, how can it not be true for YOU!  So what is the problem?  If you feel stuck, look back, there are usually two primary causes:

1.  You are not following through with a decision that you committed to yourself to act on.

2.  You are ignoring an action step that you KNOW you need to take.

You and only you are in the way of Manifesting Love. Follow what you know you could be doing to connect with your life’s purpose.  Don’t hang out whining about the LOVE that isn’t here!!  There is all kinds of love everywhere you look.  Challenge yourself to LOOK for love.

Start your day saying this intention out loud.  I guarantee it will change your perspective:

I intend to see love in all of its forms wherever I go.

Stressing and Obsessing about that ex of yours has to come to an end. How badly do you want a guy who really treats you right?  Seriously, on a scale of 1 to 10, how much do you crave a forever partner?

Can you see how important it is to get control over your emotions?  How attractive are you when you are freaking out?

Guy Kayasaki in his FAB book Enchantment, describes an excellent boss who remains at the top of his game because he constantly reminds himself what a tough boss he is to work with.

You have to face the fact that you are a complicated package. You feel things deeply and don’t feel understood very often.  Don’t you get hurt feelings a lot of the time?  How attractive is that, right?

I recently got this question from a frustrated Rapunzel, one of my private members,  who has no trouble seeing her faults, in fact she has slipped to the other side of the equation and is ‘beating up on herself’ at her inability to stop stressing and obsessing.  Here is her note and my answer:

Dear Catherine,

Sometimes I start using EFT on an issue and then another becomes apparent and another and so on and then I feel very overwhelmed at which one I need to focus on, in other words, which issue is the core issue?

I then feel very frustrated and angry with myself for having so many issues and for not being tough enough to “get over myself”!

Is there an exercise that can help find the core issue so that I can focus on that? Does anyone else feel this way sometimes?

Thanks for such a great question!

When you are tapping on a problem and another problem comes to your mind, we have a couple of things to hash out.

Here are some tips for creating a great tapping script when you are overwhelmed:

1. You will have easiest results when you get to as specific an incident to tap on as possible. For example, Bossy Betty at work is not good to tap on, the time Bossy Betty spilled coffee on the report you had been working on for three weeks is.  If you are not specific enough, your mind searches for something to hook on to and jumps all over the place.

2. If Bossy Betty is the problem, think of the last thing she did that really got to you. Then get out a notebook and write the thing down, in movie title form:

The Time Bossy Betty Spilled Coffee on the Report. (Sometimes my beloved Rapunzels point out to me that Bossy Betty does 100 things a day that are annoying. I know. But to kick start your brain into the pleasure zone, you have to pick one.)

Now ask yourself: What Bugs Me About That? Wait for the answer. Write it down and then ask the question again. Keep repeating until you reach the end.

This is magical brain detective work and will help you find what is really at the bottom of your reaction to Bossy Betty.

Here is an example:

The Time that Bitch Bossy Betty Ruined my Report. (A Little Drama Allowed)

What bugs me about that? I worked so hard on the thing.

What bugs me about that? Not only did I not get credit, now I have to start over.

What bugs me about that? Her stupidity

What bugs me about that? People should know better

What bugs me about that? People are so careless

What bugs me about that? People should care

What bugs me about that? People should care about how hard I work

What bugs me about that? They are taking advantage of me

What bugs me about that? I hate it here

What bugs me about that? I’m wasting so much time.

I recently heard a quote I love. Life is 20% what happens to you and 80% how you react to it. So, so true. Take your time and just keep asking the question over and over until you get the true answer.

Now you have the perfect EFT tapping script. Just go through the points tapping on each answer. Then finish with a round that says this or something like it:

“Thank you Universe that dingy Bossy Betty spilled the bleepin’ coffee on my report because if she didn’t, I wouldn’t have tracked down that place in my brain that hid the pain from me.

Thank you for showing me the parts of my brain that make me feel overwhelmed. Thank you for helping me calm and settle my brain chemistry.”

It might feel weird to use words like brain and brain chemistry when you are manifesting your soul mate but go ahead and do it anyway. Your brain is confused… programmed wrong….. it is the root of your love sabotage.

Life has conditioned your brain to act as if Love hurts and is potentially fatal (I know that is a little dramatic, but the Saboteur’s love it that way….that’s why you are still single!)

When you track down the grand daddy aha at the bottom of your questions, you then bring refreshing restorative pleasure brain chemicals into that very place. Sweet relief?

You bet, and remember, Abraham Hicks has been telling us for years that our number one goal should be relief. They are so so right!

You can train your brain to fall in love. Keep using all the tools you are learning. EFT is my personal favorite, however there are literally dozens of techniques you can use to change your brain’s chemical state.

Your job is to recognize when you are freaking out and deal with it as a physical brain issue first. This takes practice, but you can do it.  Once you relieve the stress chemicals and find relief, then make the decision that is freaking you out. Then for sure you will stop freaking out about your ex.

Goose bumps are riding up and down my spine. My chest is buzzing with throbbing contractions that feel for all the world orgasmic. On my TiVo is James Durbin wailing on Uprising by Muse. I feel it in my body. Let me say that again. I feel that physical exhiliriation as if I were there. As if I were HIM.

Why is that such a big deal?

I am 58 and until four years ago, in the midst of cancer recovery, I discovered an entire family of physical feelings I never knew I had. During the David Cook season, I connected to the electricity of Idol. I thrilled with their courage. Young and poised beyond their years or my understanding, these performers moved me.

When the judges praised and acknowledged them for their gifts, their growth and their willingness to take the coaching and keep on trying, I cried over and over again. Never being much of a cryer, I couldn’t help the floods of tears that came over me while watching these kids receive validation for not only their talent, but their hard work honing it.

“Yo…Dawg.” Randy Jackson would start with week after week in his enthused cheerleading. I loved it! This season, Steven Tyler and Jennifer Lopez are even more inspiring as they honestly critique the contestants.  There is no doubt about the love the judges have for these kids.

I kept the 2008 home town episode for a full two years. When David Archeletta, David Cook and Ayisha went to their home towns and were loved by their whole communities I felt that electric pulse as if I were there. I believe that learning how to have that feeling literally saved my life.

Even now, tears come to my eyes and my whole upper body swells when I remember that episode when the contestants are overcome by all the love being extended to them.

I cried and cried and allowed the feeling to engage me, enchant me and captivate me. The physical experience in my chest began to come more regularly, so to speak. There is a pulse to it. It is very strong and moves me to tears. Because I watched that episode over and over I have trained my brain to respond. It takes just moments, not really, it takes a nano second to ‘move’ my emotions thinking of David Cook, head bowed, shoulders shaking as he stood in front of his fans.

Now, James Durbin inspires the same feeling and I love it. James, a young man challenged with Tourette’s and Asperger’s syndromes, a dad and husband and all of 21 years old thrills me to my toes in an electric experience that feels like being plugged in to a 1000 watt line.

Today I don’t take this feeling for granted. I have a good friend, a fellow Snow White in my Single Girl Profiling System, who has been in my orbit for three years. Both of us guarded, we flow in and out of connection with one another. In a recent phone conversation, I asked if she felt goose bumps when I used a particular phrase to describe an idea.

She surprised me by saying no.

It made me ultra aware of how far I have come. I never understood what magnetism is supposed to feel like in my body. No one could teach me this and believe me, I searched everywhere for the answer.

And even though getting sick wouldn’t have been my first choice, it did give me laser focus on one desire…..to live. You see I was not an American Idol fan before 2007.  I was mesmerized that year and tuned in to that great feeling whenever I could. Now I won’t miss it. I am in training. I want my body to feel that way as often as possible. Being in tune with whatever that is electric and makes everything seem possible.

All the work I have done in my mind and spirit has paid off and I am experiencing much success, but it is learning to plug my body into the loop that is changing everything. I am finding a new version of myself as I step out of mind habits of pain.

When you learn to produce that feeling of vicarious celebration for yourself, in your body whenever you feel like it, you will be irresistible.  Nothing is sexier than a seriously happy woman. 

Tune in to American Idol. I dare you to be uninspired. I dare you.

Hello Seekers of Love!

I am sitting in chilly (22 degrees) Tennessee with a silly smile on my face this morning. My family got a Christmas surprise….a new baby grand daughter! Imagine my daughter in laws delight and relief. No her bag wasn’t packed, but now her belly isn’t either and she is very happy about that!

Little Oaklee Elizabeth is settling in with her 2 year old brother Brody and we had a wonderful Christmas. I was able to find an inexpensive flight on Christmas Eve and surprised my son. It is a happy time.

“I never cry.”  The young woman sitting across from me was clearly uncomfortable. Sharing the story of her dad’s recent death, she struggled to hold herself together.

“Why do you think you block your tears?” I asked. “I hate being weak,” she responded quickly and a bit defensively.

“I have been on my own since I was a kid and there is no time for falling apart.”  Instantly back in control, she changed the subject as the waiter brought our coffee.

Did you know that women cry an average of 5.3 times a month? For years I didn’t cry for months at a time.  I, like the young woman from above, was actually proud of the fact that I didn’t cry.

Years of anger, frustrated dreams and broken relationships had sealed my tears within.  When I felt the familiar lump in my throat, I never allowed the tears that were calling to be shed to flow.  I was too strong for that.

Little did I know that men actually do cry….only 1.4 times a month, but that tears flow for them too. Somehow I had decided that crying was something I could do without.  Hmmm. Amazing how you can believe something that is so untrue. Do you believe that crying is weak?  Does crying make you uncomfortable?  Do you have a good cry at least once a month?

If not, you are missing out on an important “Love Potion” that your own amazing body is designed to provide.

Abraham Hicks teaches that the ultimate goal for your mindset is “Well-Being.”  They have been teaching this simple truth for years.  Now I LOVE Abraham, as you know, and I also teach the positivity message.  Well today I have news for you.

TEARS ARE NOT NEGATIVE!

What? Isn’t sadness a low vibrating emotion?  Aren’t you supposed to pivot and change your mindset ASAP so you can be in high vibrating well being?  Yes and no…. continue

It never fails me.

When I need to raise my vibration and put myself into a state of delicious well-being, I have a sure fire tool.  Right now I am watching a Tivoed Oprah show and, just like magic, the waves of goose bumps are hitting me.

Not so many years ago, I didn’t think goose bumps were anything special.  When is was cold, I figured it was just a response to the temperature.  I got goose bumps lots of other times, but dismissed them.  Boy was I missing out on a spectacular Law of Attraction tool!!

Now I know for sure that goose bumps are a language of vibration. Abraham Hicks has taught me that keeping my vibration high is the key to attracting what I desire into my life.  I used to think that vibration was controlled by my thoughts alone and that my attraction vibe was a mind experience.

Whoa!  Was I missing the boat!  Now I know that there is a lot of power in the goose bumps and shivers that happen when something thrills me.  Vibrating emotion rolling through my upper body has become my personal attraction meter.  The stronger the vibe, the more in tune with my Inner Being I am. 

Like I said, I never knew that these experiences had so much to offer. I would sit in theatre productions, sports events and concerts totally clueless.  I took the goose bumps and shivers completely for granted.  Now I know that I can recall these times and use them to ramp up my vibe whenever I want.

Plus, now that Tivo is in my life (if you don’t have it….get it!)  I can create my own high vibe tool kit with the push of a button.  So what is my number one Soul Mate Attraction Tool?

Makeovers. On my Tivo right now is a “Oprah, Make Over My Man Please!” (taping date November 19, 2009)  Tim Gunn and Carson Kressley are making over boyfriends and husbands while the women sit stunned in the audience.  Seeing the before and after pictures always sends chills up my spine.

What really gets to me though, every time, is the looks on the faces of the family when they see their loved one madeover. Truth be told, for me any makeover show will do.  From What Not To Wear to Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, the thrills and chills put me in the frame of mind and good feeling place that is an exact match to how I will feel when my manifestation appears.  I have been known to keep favorite episodes on my DVR for MONTHS!!

Pay attention to those goose bumps….when your soul mate arrives, you will be glad you did!
